A Bold and Unique Maternity Photography Session
Curiosity is one of my favorite traits, but when it's paired with a desire to push boundaries, it creates something truly special—a love story.
My friend Jules epitomizes this spirit. She's one of the most curious and adventurous people I know. When she was expecting her baby boy, she suggested we do something extraordinary for her pregnancy shoot.
Determined to create something unforgettable, I dove into research, scrolling through countless images and ideas. Keywords like "theatrical," "extra," "Beyoncé," "edgy," "artistic," and "daring" guided my search.
We both fell in love with an image of a woman sitting on a chair, adorned with large flowers against a dramatic background. This was the inspiration we needed! We were really looking to create a bold and unique maternity photography session - like few had seen before!
To bring our vision to life, I reached out to my friend Margaux Doulliez, an interior designer and feng shui enthusiast. She introduced me to STAYS, a female-owned brand in Ghent that specializes in satin flowers and floral arrangements. Excitedly, I called them and shared our idea. The team at STAYS was thrilled to collaborate, providing us with the perfect floral elements for our shoot.
The shoot day was magical. Jules, seven months pregnant, was an absolute rockstar. Surrounded by over 30 flowers for two hours, she brought our vision to life with grace and strength.
The results were breathtaking, and both Jules and I couldn't be happier. This shoot was an adventure in creativity and a testament to Jules' incredible spirit.
Thank you, Jules, for pushing the boundaries and embracing this extraordinary journey with me!
To co-creat together, meet me here.
